Our Mandate
Registration & Regulation
Register and regulate cooperative organizations in accordance with national cooperative laws and regulations.
Capacity Building
Provide training, technical assistance, and capacity building programs for cooperative members and leaders.
Compliance Monitoring
Monitor compliance with cooperative principles, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Policy Development
Develop and implement policies that support the growth and sustainability of the cooperative sector.
Data Management
Maintain comprehensive records and statistics on cooperatives, members, and cooperative activities nationwide.
Public Awareness
Promote public awareness of cooperative values, principles, and benefits to society.
Organizational Structure
The Department of Cooperative Development operates under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock & Food Security. Our structure includes:
